Founding in 1868, the University of California, Berkeley is simply referred as Berkeley. It is truly non private research based university  which is located in Berkeley, California, the United States of America. The university is the flagship campus of the University of California system strategies, and it is one of three parts in the California state’s public higher education planning. Other two are included California State University system as well as the California Community Colleges System.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings included Berkeley as one of six university brands that lead in the reputation of word in 2015. It is also ranked third position on the U.S News’ 2015 Best Global Universities rankings operated in the U.S. and approximately 50 countries in the world. The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) also rated Berkeley (University of California) , #4 in the world overall, and #1 among non-profit & public universities. The some department of the University of California specifics comprises #3 in engineering, #4 in social sciences and #1 in the mathematics, physics, chemistry, and life sciences. The university is also best known for leading to produce a high number of entrepreneurs in the world.

It was founded as the result of the combination of  the private College of California and the public Agriculture, Mining, and Mechanical Arts College in Oakland, UC Berkeley is the oldest institution in the UC system. The University of California, Berkeley offers nearly 350 graduate and undergraduate degree programs in several disciplines. Since establishment, the University of California has been providing both  “traditional” and “pragmatic” education & knowledge for people of the state of California. Three United States Department of Energy National Laboratories are also co-managed by the university. They are included Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in addition to  Lawrence Berkerly National Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy.
